What is MyPekin?
MyPekin helps people discover businesses in Liberia and Liberian-owned businesses around the world. It also connects people with community groups and organizations and gives business owners practical tools to manage their businesses.
Is my listing free?
Yes. Creating a listing and using the current business portal tools are free. Submit your listing through Create your listing. Listings are reviewed before they become public.
Where can I find businesses?
Use Browse businesses to search one directory and filter by country, category, and business address location. Check each profile for its service areas. Liberian ownership of businesses outside Liberia is self-reported.
Can community groups and organizations join?
Yes. Churches, ministries, nonprofits, associations, and other community organizations can create a listing. Explore them in Community & Organizations.
Do I need an account to browse or save favorites?
You can browse without an account. Favorites are saved in the browser you use, so they do not carry over to another browser or device. Clearing browser data can erase them.
What tools are in the business portal?
The portal includes tools for preparing quotes and invoices, tracking sales and expenses, estimating prices, organizing customer inquiries and follow-ups, creating promotional cards and QR codes, and requesting reviews. Practical guides cover topics such as marketing on a budget, festival booths, and selling to other businesses.
Where do I find my business tools?
Sign in through Business sign in. Your dashboard stays at the top, with tools grouped under Business profile, Promotion & reviews, Customers & inquiries, Money & paperwork, and Guides & resources. Open a group to see its tools. The pricing calculator is also linked under Resources & Templates.
How do I verify my email or get another verification email?
After creating an account, open the verification email and follow its link. Check your spam or junk folder if it has not arrived. If you still need help, contact MyPekin so we can help you request another verification email. Never send us your password.
Do businesses need to be formally registered to join?
MyPekin welcomes businesses and independent service providers. Formal business registration is not currently required to join the directory. Listings are reviewed before publication, but business registration and professional licenses have not been verified unless explicitly stated. Customers should ask providers about any credentials needed for the work.
Does a listing guarantee quality?
No. Listing review does not guarantee the quality of a business or its services. Discuss credentials, references, scope, price, delivery, and payment directly with the business before purchasing.
How do I leave a review?
Open the business profile and select Write a review. Sign in with your email and password, or create a MyPekin account and verify your email first. Describe a service you personally used. Reviews are moderated before publication.
How do I share a business?
Open its profile and copy its link, share it through WhatsApp, or use your phone’s share option. For Facebook, paste the profile link into your post. If Facebook does not display a photo preview, you can add a photo separately.
Can I buy products through MyPekin?
Online marketplace purchasing is not available yet. For now, contact the business directly to discuss products, availability, shipping, and payment.
Who receives my payment?
Arrange purchases and payment directly with the business. MyPekin does not currently process purchases or hold customer payments for businesses.
Are Evidence Visits available?
Evidence Visits are not currently available. Requests and payments are not open.
